Impact of Creative Writing on Mental Health
Request for Help and Ideas
I am a member of the AiMH (Aesthetics in Mental Health) Group and facilitate The Creative Writing Group at Lambeth College in London.
The course is aimed at students who have experienced mental health difficulties in their lives. It is successful in its own terms and feedback from students is positive. But when I present my work to management at college I feel that they see this work as an ‘add on’, an expendable extra. I have to fight to keep the course on the agenda.
I am therefore looking to recalibrate my presentations: to provide more quantitative evidence that might appeal to managers in college, and in other settings.
Does anyone have any ideas that might help with this?
