9th February 2022, 12-2pm

About the Webinar

This seminar will explore the current state of knowledge in the genetics of public mental health and likely developments in the near future. These developments raise a number of values-based practice issues including balancing individual choice with community benefit and the tensions between data-sharing and personal privacy.

There are also important issues relating to whiteness and race equality that stem from the ethnic bias in existing international bio-banks and the impact this has on the nature of knowledge that comes from them.
This seminar is presented in partnership with the International Society of Psychiatric Genetics.
