The last decade has seen positive movements and rising awareness around menopause with increasing consultation across a range of healthcare settings, including primary care. Symptoms may emerge gradually or unexpectedly and, when not recognised or fully explored, can lead to debilitating impacts to a person’s daily life.
Menopause is not experienced in isolation, and the experience is influenced by individual factors, including medical history, environment, employment, access to support and background. Menopause is not experienced uniformly, and individual needs will vary.
This seminar will provide an opportunity to understand the diverse experiences of women navigating menopause and the realities of delivering primary care within busy clinical environments. Through expert-led presentations, panel discussions and group work, participants will explore practical approaches to strengthening understanding, support and outcomes in everyday practice.
This seminar aims to create space for collaborative consideration of how menopause care can evolve to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes. Participants will be encouraged to identify meaningful ways to enhance menopause support within their own roles and settings.
