A one day Advanced Studies Workshop: Shared decision making in health professional education: the osteopathic experience with the GOsC and the Collaborating Centre for Values Based Practice
Aim / why?
· To build knowledge and skills in shared decision making and put patient values at the heart of what we do.
· To facilitate peer learning and good practice in teaching, learning and assessing shared decision making as an integral part of osteopathic education.
· To support peer learning and good practice across the osteopathic education sector and in practice.
· To foster collaborative cross-sector relationships.
When: Wednesday 22 April 2026
Where: St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford.
Who: The workshops are open to osteopathic educators, health professional educators, patients and others interested in exploring the teaching, learning and assessment of shared decision making in osteopathic education.
How: Speakers will include experts in shared decision making and values based practice from medical and health professional education and osteopathic education and patients.
