Brief Description of Work: I am a registered social worker and Lecturer in Social Work and Social Care at the University of Sussex. I am particularly interested in the epistemology of regulatory failure, the perverse incentives of regulation, and the management of risks via regulation. I am interested in exploring the relationship between values based practice and reducing regulatory failure. I have recently become interested in the impact of social media on students’ values in relation to professionalism (eg boundaries of self-revelation to clients).
