Brief Description of WorkMy research interest is in understanding how values are practiced in multi-disciplinary teams and how and why MDTs negotiate and balance diverging values. I have recently completed my doctoral thesis at Warwick Business School. My doctoral research focuses on learning in organizations and specifically how novice seafarers develop skills and practices as they seek to become captains on board merchant navy ships. The research is grounded in practice theory and is conducted as an ethnographic study in the maritime industry.
