Brief Description of Work: I am researching the role of professionalism in modern healthcare. This project aims to promote professionalism by:

  1. defining and describing the values, behaviours and relationships underpinning contemporary medical professionalism
  2. designing and piloting a series of educational workshops supporting professional behaviour
  3. establishing evidence-based recommendations for the RCP and broader stakeholders and identifying further research

Research methods include focus groups, interviews, workshops with patients and healthcare professionals and collection of best practice examples.
