Brief Description of Work: My research is focused on two related strands: 1) the interactions between norms of action and norms of belief and 2) the nature and scope of responsible agency. In partnership with the Collaborating Centre for Values-Based Practice, I am currently developing a Research Impact Programme on Norms of Belief and Norms of Action in Clinical Practice. The Programme aims to translate and implement a new normative framework to help identify and address possible conflicts between two sides of the duty of care: optimizing health outcomes and supporting patient choice.
