Brief Description of Work: This seven part series focuses on developing new approaches to professionalism in mental health based on a fundamental democratising of relationships. The focus of the series is how authentic power-sharing between service users, peer support workers, informal carers and professionals can be achieved. The project is running alongside a collaboration convened by the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN). Further WUN projects focusing respectively on resilience in young people and on health and social care providers are being developed. As with the seminar series these projects involve international collaboration with contributors from diverse disciplinary backgrounds (communications studies, medicine, social work, sociology).
