Brief Description of Work: Within the Laboratory for the Philosophy and Psychology of Rationality and Decision (LPPRD), we develop formal models of how we reason and make decisions and test the behavioral implications of those models. LPPRD focuses on models of reasoning and decision-making that promise to explain both our successes and our failures in reasoning and decision-making. We are particularly interested in how patterns of success and failure in reasoning shift in mental illness. We are also interested in how moral values influence decision-making.
