I am a full-time practice educator, looking after a team ofstudent social workers who are embedded in a children’s social care team. I am interested in understanding how our values shape the interactions we have with children, their families and professional networks as well as the impact these values have on decisions professionals and carers make to safeguard and improve the welfare of children. I am also interested in what are the best methods for teaching awareness of values to students, co-production with service users and improving the quality of practice education.
