Main academic interest is in postgraduate ethics education and ethics and values in the particular context of primary healthcare. Working on ethics education as ‘translational ethics.’ PhD was a qualitative empirical study of Medical Education with focus on ethics education in UK general practice. Further research will seek further understanding of ethics and values in primary care. This will involve analysis of patient narratives, and educational research that explored the ways in which ideas are embodied in academia, education and practice. The interface between medical humanities (literature) and medical ethics education is also an interest.
