Dr. Cordet Smart
Lecturer in Clinical Psychology Plymouth University and Lecture in Clinical Research Methods Exeter University.

I am a social psychologist interested in group processes and interactions, and how, through Conversation Analysis and Discursive Psychology, we can understand how clinicians are affected by and use culture and context as resources.  I lead the Multi-Disciplinary Teams In Action Research Programme, which examines how Mulit-Disciplinary Teams function in daily practice, and how values based care is enacted in team formulations of care and diagnoses.  I train clinical psychologists and postgraduate psychotherapists in research methods, and am interested in developing rigorous methodological approaches in collaboration with patients and clinicians, which integrate theory, particularly social psychological perspectives
