I am interested in how patients’ complaints are pathologized or normalized in psychiatric practice and what considerations are actually, or should be, given for that discrimination. This topic is related to the pluralistic stance on psychiatry, which originated from Karl Jaspers’ dichotomy between explanation and understanding.
