I studied psychology and philosophy in Innsbruck and Heidelberg, with a research stay in Cambridge. I am a Mercator Fellow at the University of Cologne, a board member of the Association for Philosophy and Psychology, and a candidate in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in the Rhineland. My research focuses on clinical psychology, theoretical psychology, phenomenology, value theory, and interdisciplinary work between philosophy and psychology. The outlook of my work is to bridge between philosophy, science and practice. In this vein, I have recently been trying to establish the perspective of (meta)ethics and value theory in model comparison and model specification in clinical psychology, i.e., operationalizing philosophical proposals of value apprehension and utilizing them for an axiological explication of mental disorders such as depression, schizophrenia or addiction.
