I have a multidisciplinary background in medicine, psychology, philosophy, sociology and child health. I researched decisional capacity and values in eating disorders at the forefront of the empirical ethics movement. Current projects include: embedded ethics research on Deep Brain Stimulation for severe Anorexia Nervosa and a Psychopharmacological Randomised Controlled Trial in children and adolescents; Values Based Commissioning in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services; a study of the Primary-Secondary Care Interface for the Treatment of Eating Disorders; and the development of an electronic App for early identification of Eating Disorders empowering sufferers and families to seek help.
