I was an undergraduate at St. Catherine’s (1991-1994, English Language & Literature) prior to emigration to the U.S in 1999 and completing a clinical psychology PhD on child trauma and the neuroscience of meditation. In September 2016 I will commence a postdoctoral research fellowship at the UCSF (University of California, San Francisco) Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, focused on the development of novel psychosocial and psychotherapeutic interventions for neighborhoods impacted by social inequity, toxic stress and pervasive violence. In this connection I am developing a theoretical model integrating VBP, psychological, neuroscientific, biological, ethnographic and epidemiological sources.
