junior doctor in Oxford Deanery

I am a core trainee psychiatrist practicing on the Maudsley Training Programme. I have an interest in philosophy and ethics, mental health law and philosophy of psychiatry. Of particular interest are enduring mental illnesses and their implication on our understanding of patients' identities, authenticity of patients’ values and expressed preferences, and the legitimacy of coercive practice. Relatedly, I am interested in the law’s interpretation to these answers, as expressed in the MCA, MHA, and recent case law.
