After completing my residency and research fellowship at Stanford, I worked briefly at the San Francisco General Hospital/UCSF, then moved to the Palo Alto VA Hospital. I have enjoyed working and teaching in various settings, both inpatient and outpatient, private and public sectors. I am board certified in General, Addiction and Forensic Psychiatry. I am particularly interested in incorporating VBP into the curriculum for medical students. I was honored to receive the outstanding community clerkship preceptor award in 2010, and the Arthur L. Bloomfield Award in Recognition of Excellence in the Teaching of Clinical Medicine in 2015, at Stanford University.
