Brief Description of Work:  I work at the intersection of ethics, philosophy of action and epistemology. My research develops a distinctive Aristotelian approach to agency as revealed under various kinds of threats, including systematic distortions of one’s self-understanding. I aim to show how a relational and ecological understanding of individual and group agency can illuminate both ethical and epistemic practices like the attributions of role responsibilities and expertise in institutional contexts.

As Lead for the VBP Network Norms of Action and Belief in Practice (NABP), I contribute to collaborative and participatory research on the relationship between ethical and epistemic, practical and theoretical considerations, with particular emphasis on lived experiences and situated knowledge.
