Manon Piette
Student at the ENS (France)with a masters degree in philosophy (Philmaster from ENS-EHESS) and I am now pursuing a master degree in clinical psychology (Université Paris Diderot). I am currently (2016 - 2017) teaching French as a "lectrice/lector" at St-Catherine’s and Wadham's colleges in Oxford.

As part of my master’s dissertations and of my clinical internships in care institutions, I have tried to address links between psychology and philosophy and more specifically between psychoanalysis and phenomenology. My master’s dissertation in philosophy, supervised by Dorothée Legrand and Frederic Worms, developed a philosophical approach of the concept and experience of solitude, linked with a clinical approach of melancholy. My interest in VBP is linked with the philosophy of care and the importance given to singularity (in the sense of being unique, with one's own history, one’s own values; the singularity as what escapes from categorizations).
