Full Professor of Psychology

I did my clinical training in psychology in Chile and I got my MRes and PhD in Philosophy at the University of Manchester (UK), the latter, with a dissertation on delusions of thought insertion. My current research focuses on the debates surrounding the ethical, conceptual, and clinical understanding of madness in general, and delusions more specifically. I’m interested in developing a value-based interdisciplinary approach to the way in which intersubjective dynamics shape psychopathological phenomena able to integrate neurocognitive models, medical anthropology, findings from social psychology and, lived-experience reports in order to inform evidence-based practice models of intervention.
