Associate Professor at Edinburgh Napier University

I am an Associate Professor at Edinburgh Napier University, where I am also Associate Director of the Edinburgh Research and Innovation Centre for Complex and Acute mental health problems (ERICCA) and the Centre for Mental Health and Capacity Law. I am a clinical psychologist by background, and my research involves developing safe and effective psychological interventions for people with schizophrenia-spectrum disorder, with a particular emphasis on developing effective ways to support them to regain capacity to make their own decisions about treatment. I am interested in applying values-based practice to clinical practice, policy and law in this area.
