I have been Involved in voluntary work for over 30 years associated with healthcare and disability related subjects. I served in an advisory capacity on several Central and Welsh Government forums on many occasions between 2004 and 2017; and for over 10 years with regional law enforcement agencies addressing community engagement issues (including those concerned with social inclusion and equality of disabled people). From 2011 I have had advisory roles with academic staff in the training of healthcare students at three Northwest of England universities, and I continue to participate in a professional capacity in healthcare-related degree course development.
