Chair in Organisational Behaviour and Psychology ¬Coventry University Centre for Trust Peace and Social Relations

My work to date has looked broadly at trust, understanding how and why trust and distrust might shape employees affect, cognitions, decisions and actions. I am interested in the role of control (organizational and external regulation) and internal (self-regulation) at work and their relationship with organizational trust in enhancing and reducing individuals’ practice behaviours. I have written about Board effectiveness in this context, especially the role and impact of non-majority groups – women and BMEs, and non-executives. I have expertise in HR areas including specialty recruitment, performance management, and organisational change.
