I am a psychologist (McGill U, U London),psychiatrist (McGill U, UOttawa), family therapist (Fellowship, McGillU; Milan Centre for the Study of the Family, Milan, Italy; Institute of FamilyTherapy, Rome, Italy, now Accademia di Psicoterapia della Famiglia), and philosopher (European Graduate School)specializing in eating disorders, trauma, migration and mental health, andphilosophical, values-based critiques of all these models and practices.

Mymain orientation is as a child and family specialist, as a social and culturalpsychiatrist, and as a global mental health specialist.

Iam the founder & President of the Canadian Association of Social Psychiatry(CASP) and President-Elect of the World Association for Social Psychiatry(WASP).
