Department of Public Health Health Management and Policy Nara Medical University Japan

My expertise areas are health communication and patient safety. Within this, my academic focus is patient’s decision making: how patients can make a clinical decision in satisfaction and accept clinical outcomes whatever they are, and how doctors and other medical professionals are able to help patient’s decision making.  In this respect, I believe that patient’s values seem to be most important to focus.  I have been working in interdisciplinary/interprofessional environment and would like to conduct a research about the values-based practice and show some evidences in order to put the values-based practice into action in Japan.
