I am a Senior Teaching Fellow with background in philosophy and ethics, particularly in medical settings. I have taught ethics to medical students for around 7 years. I also have research interests in ethics, including reproductive ethics, parenting, research ethics, informed consent, Ebola virus disease, military medicine, insect suffering, welfare biology, population dynamics, social robotics, machine intelligence, catastrophic risk, decision theory, environmental ethics, population ethics, and value theory. I’m also involved in assessment for the medical degree and have taught medical ethics to everyone from secondary school children to healthcare practitioners.
