Brief Description of Work:
The Centre for Humanities aims to create an open and interdisciplinary dialogue between the humanities and the medical sciences. We create, organize and coordinate interdisciplinary humanistic projects in the medical and clinical campuses of the Faculty of Medicine. A key project is “Buscando Sentido” (Searching for Meaning) – this explores students’ identity, motivations, tastes, interpretation of the world and personal projections, through joint work between artists and other experts – including sociologists, philosophers, psychologists, neurobiologists and anthropologists – through participatory art workshops. The goal is for academics to know their students and relate to them from a deeper and more authentic perspective.
