Brief Description of Work:

The HVHF’s key mission is to humanise health and social care through awareness raising, dialogue, education, research, and disseminating ideas and initiatives. We aim to collaborate, support, and engage with those who broadly share our aims and values. The Forum has regularly addressed issues in healthcare involving human values and human rights e.g. the care of asylum seekers, “illegal immigrants”, and other marginalised groups. Developing and sustaining compassionate care in all settings is a key priority. The Forum is also involved in teaching clinical ethics and in addressing the ethical and social impacts of technological and scientific advances in healthcare.
