Brief Description of Work: The LNPP collaborates on education, research, and public outreach initiatives at the interface of philosophy and psychiatry in Latin America. It endorses a pluralist approach, encouraging collaboration between members from different countries. It supports initiatives that, (i) are based on valuing individual and cultural differences and respecting diversity, (ii) contribute to the advancement of the field through empirically-informed rigorous philosophical work with clinical implications, (iii) facilitate collaborative learning through exchange of ideas, experience, knowledge and skills between different traditions of thought and practice in the region. and (iv) encourage work with national, local and subject-based organizations with appropriate aims.

The network is currently organized by a group of professionals from different Latin American countries. A number of professionals from, at least, 5 countries in LATAM have already accepted the invitation to become members. Information for the 1st workshop of the network has been already distributed at the local level (I Coloquio en Filosofía y Psiquiatría). Current local web site is under construction.
